What it has to do with broad-mindedness ?Its just the regulation of student attire by the institution. And when did we claim ourselves broad minded? I never knew such thing happened in TN.There is a looooooooong way to achieve that .
juz 2 mention, tiz is in d transcripts section, whch means even if i have to go after 3 r 4 years after i finished coll, i hafta wear formals.
unfortunately, i have no formal shirts/pants (am serious!), so i ddn folow rules. like i care!
@KP: Regulation of attire is wat u cal tiz? watz wrong wth jeans and t-shirts and skirts tat they need to be "regulated"? we did graduate as good engineers even wen we didnt have any such regulations (we did, didnt we!). but life was much more fun.
I dunno whether its the engg culture or what they always made the kids wear something which would not be favourable for Chennai weather and would be uncoomfortable!!! (I had to wear a coat for what class was tat... Mech clsas... heat heat heat!!!) in an attempt to mould us into corporate tycoons they make us wear formals.. anyway what they teach is of no use!!! :)
When you have corporates enforcing dress regulations (Infosys makes its employees wear tie on mondays and tuesdays. It is so ridiculous for chennai weather.)...I am not surprised with engg colleges doin that

almost all colleges are enforcing these dress code rules these days.
anyways its better for some decorum in an otherwise unruly college mentality.
I was also so (and am sure you were also) :)
